Remove the rest of the old fender #
- Use a pointed tool or a stylus to remove the plastic caps that protect the screws;
- With the help of the 2 mm allen key, remove the screws that fix the fender to the scooter frame;
Save the screws for later use. - Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the brake light to the scooter. Disconnect the wire carefully so as not to risk damaging it. Slightly push the light to release from the fender;
- Open the bottom of the scooter deck to disconnect the brake light wire;
Follow the wire to the controller board, and make sure you are disconnecting the correct wire. The color may change according to the generation of the scooter. - Finish by removing the entire brake light from the old fender.
Install the brake light on the new fender #
- Fit the brake light into the fender, and organize the wire throughout the fixing cavity, so it does not become loose and does not touch the tire;
- Connect the power plugs to the controller board. Carefully test to see if you are activating the light when pressing the brake;
- Close the deck cover that protects the battery and board;
- Replace the screws to fix the brake light again;
- Fit the fender screws with the help of the 2 mm allen key, make sure they are well fixed in the frame of the scooter.
